It's a little discouraging that most salons don't colour curls, even curl specialist salons. It's a lot of time and effort, but it's a beautiful self expression of art that deserves to be celebrated. Why? We offer curly cuts at an affordable price, no curly colour job is too big or scary for us and we even offer curly hair extensions! In order words...CURL HEAVEN!! The funny thing is we haven't even mentioned how we have thousands of the best curly products to choose from! If it's not worth using, then we don't have it!
How we colour curls without damaging them
There are 3 ways which we do this:
1) we offer and always recommend curlies to book the K18 Salon Professional treatment with their service. This treatment is extremely potent and only allowed to be used by trained professionals because of how strong and effective it is. It works deep in the innermost layer of the hair to strengthen.
2) we customise the highlights based on your hair and what it can safely handle. Some curlies need foils and others benefit more from hand painting. We are all unique and we cater it on the day to your unique needs.
3) our colour specialist has over 8 curl certifications including various curl-specific methods of colouring. She also has 20+ years experience as a curl specialist (WILD !!!) and truly knows what she is doing. Oh...and she has a minor alt side and isn't shy from bright greens, neon yellows and literal rainbows! Whether's it's summer-kissed highlights or a zebra pattern on your hair, she can do it!
Aftercare
At home care matters just as much, if not more, than what happens in the salon. We will help you craft out the perfect routine to care for your curls to help them bounce up and curl like never before! Every curlfriend is different, so we don't copy-and-paste our advice. We also don't rush anything. We always put lots of time and effort into ensuring you have the best at-home care.
