Why Your Curls Are Frizzy

Textured hair dries out much faster than straight hair. This is why many curl hair products emphasise hydrating ingredients like shea butter, avocado oil and coconut oil.

Dry hair is the main reason for frizz.

Dry hair = frizz

Frizz = less definition

 

Achieving more definition, less frizz

Tackle dryness by ensuring your hair is well moisturised.

Moisturised hair = more definition.

You can moisturise your hair by using:

• leave in conditioners
• weekly deep conditioners
• refresh products
• hydrating shampoos
• silk bonnets to sleep at night

 

Embracing frizz

Although frizz can get annoying, it's always best to keep a positive attitude toward it. Take care of your hair with the goal to obtain a healthy state and the definition you want will follow.
