Coastal Grl PRE-SWIM Saltwater & Chlorine Hair Protectant

Post-swim hair is its own kind of awful. Dry, brittle, colour faded, and so knotted that brushing feels impossible. That happens because chlorine and saltwater pull moisture out of the hair shaft while you are still in the water.

Pre-Swim is a lightweight leave-in you apply before you swim. Think of it as an invisible swim cap. It coats the strand so the water cannot get in, which means the damage never starts.

It also means you can usually skip the post-swim shampoo. Rinse, and your hair has already been protected.

For the best results, follow these simple steps:

1. Apply to dry or damp hair at least 10 minutes before you swim. For best results apply 1 to 5 hours ahead. The longer it has to absorb, the better it works.
2. Work it through from roots to ends so every strand is coated, paying extra attention to the lengths and ends.
3. Swim as normal.
4. When you get out, dry thoroughly with a microfibre towel and reapply a smaller amount.
5. At home, rinse in the shower. You do not need to shampoo and condition, because your hair has been protected. Shampoo only if you want to.
6. To remove the residue completely and return hair to its usual feel, simply shampoo.
