How can you use it?
Use on wet and detangled hair. Part hair into 2-4 sections. Apply product evenly from root to tip, being sure to cover all of your hair. Allow to sit for 30 minutes. Rinse and style as usual. It’s also a great idea to use a plastic conditioning cap while the treatment is acting.
How I use it
I have long, coarse and tight curls. Between my coarse texture and being a Queenslander, my curls dry out easily and even can become brittle. I absolutely LOVE this mask because it transforms my dry hair and brittle curls completely while providing some much needed protein.
When using this deep conditioner, I like to clarify beforehand to give my curls a complete reset. Alikay Naturals Caribbean Coconut Milk Shampoo is convenient and does a good job at clarifying my curls without adding to their dryness. Once I’m out of the shower, I rake a generous amount of this mask through my hair. I allow this to sit for a little over 30 minutes.
Once it’s sat for 30 minutes, I rinse it out. I use this mask every second week. I alternate it with the Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner. I love this mask because it gives my curls a nice protein boost. Protein is extremely important for hair strength. Lack of protein = weak, lifeless curls! Since my curls are very long and thick, a proper protein moisture balance is crucial. This mask helps me achieve a perfect balance!
